About
The hut offers 60 beds across mixed dormitory rooms. Hot meals are served daily; vegetarian options are standard. Cold drinks and snacks are available outside meal times. You'll find pit toilets (no showers). The hut operates mid-May through late September, with weekends only in shoulder months. It's managed by the Zillertal Alpine Club and sits as a working base for ridge traverses east toward the Grosse Löffler or west into the Tuxer valleys.
Book direct by email or phone; staff respond within 24 hours. July and August need 3–4 weeks' notice. June and September usually accept bookings 1–2 weeks out. Weekend slots fill quickly year-round. Bring your own sleeping bag unless you're happy renting theirs (ask when booking). The hut is cash-friendly, though card payment is possible—confirm current terms when you call.
