Scheibenschlag-Niederalm
3.6About
The alm operates as a working dairy farm and simple mountain restaurant rather than an overnight hut. It offers basic refreshments and hearty seasonal food—expect käsespätzle, kaiserschmarrn, and regional cheeses when they're available. The terrace commands views across the Zillertal. Capacity is around 60 people. The season runs from May through October, depending on snow melt and weather. No accommodation is available here; plan day trips or stay in Schwendau or Mayrhofen in the valley.
Contact the hut directly for current opening dates and menu details. Summer weekends and school holidays get busy from 11am onwards, so start early or visit midweek. The alm is popular with families because of the easy access and simple food. No reservation system exists—first come, first served.
