Cabin Brunet

Cabane Brunet sits at 2,104m in the Chaîne de Belledonne, east of Grenoble. The hut sits on the GR55 long-distance trail. Approach from Allevard-les-Bains via the Gorges de la Chavière—allow 3 to 4 hours to reach the hut. The route climbs steadily through mixed forest and alpines meadows. Winter access is unreliable; check conditions before travelling between November and April.
The hut sleeps 56 across dormitory rooms. Half-board and full-board meals are available; the kitchen caters for group dinners. A self-catering kitchen lets you prepare your own food if preferred. Drinking water is available on-site. The hut operates year-round but staff presence varies—contact ahead if visiting outside summer. FFCAM manages the hut. Simple facilities, no shower or heating in dormitories.
