Rifugio la Rezila

Rifugio la Rezila sits at 2,612m in the Bergamasque Alps, accessible via the Val Seriana approach from Castione della Presolana. Most hikers reach it in 3–4 hours from the roadhead at Piazza. The route gains roughly 1,000m through alpine meadows and rocky terrain. Summer access is straightforward; winter conditions require avalanche assessment and winter mountaineering skills.

The rifugio operates year-round and sleeps 40 guests in mixed dormitories. Meals are served daily—dinner and breakfast are included with overnight stays. The kitchen prepares mountain food suited to hikers: pasta, polenta, and local cheeses. Hot showers and drying rooms are available. Mobile signal is poor; bring a radio if you rely on communication. The hut sits above the treeline with views east across the Orobian range.

Book 4–6 weeks ahead for July and August weekends. Contact the hut directly by email to reserve; payment by bank transfer is standard. Peak season fills quickly, especially in good weather windows. Weekday visits in June and September have more availability. The hut accepts groups but prefers advance notice. Bring your own sleeping bag or rent one on-site.
