Hut na Planini pri Jezeru

Koča na Planini pri Jezeru sits at 1,453m on a high pasture in the Julian Alps, between the Triglav Lakes and the Krn plateau. The hut is a 4-hour walk from Savica waterfall, the most direct approach. You can also reach it in 3 hours from Bohinj via Vogar, or from Vogel cable car in 2.5 hours. The final stretch crosses open alpine meadow with good views toward Triglav and the surrounding ridges.
The hut offers 86 beds across several sleeping rooms, basic but clean facilities, and a dining area warmed by stove in cooler months. The kitchen serves traditional Slovenian food. Half-board packages are available. Running water is available; showers are limited. The hut operates year-round, though staffing in winter is reduced—check conditions before December visits. PZS members receive a small discount on overnight rates. There is no WiFi.
Book at least two weeks ahead for weekends and holidays. For July and August, phone three to four weeks in advance. Contact the hut directly by phone to confirm availability and arrange payment. The hut fills quickly during school holidays and summer weekends when hikers approach from the Triglav Lakes circuit. Winter stays require advance notice.
