Lovska Hut LD Planota

Lovska Koča LD Planota sits at 1,532m on Planota plateau in the Julian Alps, a working hunting lodge that welcomes hikers. Reach it from the Kranjska Gora side via the Perica valley in roughly 3 hours, or approach from Jezersko in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. The hut lies on the PZS network and marks a junction point for routes toward Ratitovec and Stenar. This location works well as a base for day walks across open moorland or as a stage on longer ridge traverses.
The lodge operates as a mountain hut during hiking season with 20 beds across mixed dormitories and a small number of private rooms. The kitchen serves meals on request; bring a packed lunch for day trips or order ahead. No WiFi. The hut opens year-round but runs at reduced capacity and may require advance notice outside peak season (May to October). Toilets are basic and water comes from a reliable spring.
