Cojzova Hut na Kokrskem Sedlu

Cojzova Hut sits at 1,793m on Kokrsko Sedlo, a key saddle in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps between Kokra Valley and the Savinja Valley. Reach it from Kamnik via the Kokra Valley trail—allow 3 to 3.5 hours walking from the valley floor. From the north, the hut connects to routes over Ojstrica and toward Okrešelj Hut. This is working terrain, not a tourist loop: expect exposed ridges and serious mountain weather even in summer.
The hut runs as a staffed mountain refuge with capacity for around 30 people. Meals focus on hot food (soups, stews, simple mains) and drinks; bring snacks for longer days. Bedding and basic washroom facilities are standard PZS quality. The hut opens seasonally, typically May through October, though weather can force closure. Check conditions before setting out in spring or autumn.
