Fließer Alpe

Fließer Alpe sits at 2,003m in the Prättigau valley, reached via the village of Fließ in eastern Graubünden. From Fließ village the hut takes 2.5 hours on foot, following marked trails through mixed forest and alpine meadow. This is a straightforward approach, gaining roughly 600m elevation with no scrambling. The hut works well as a base for day hikes across the Prättigau's rolling high pastures or as a stop on longer traverses through the region.
The hut operates as a simple alpine dairy and guesthouse, offering dormitory beds and a small number of private rooms. Meals focus on traditional Graubünden cooking—expect hearty soups, cheese dishes, and fresh breads. Self-catering facilities are available. The hut operates seasonally from June through October, with reduced service in shoulder months. Capacity is modest, around 30-40 guests. Water comes from natural spring sources on site.
Book at least 4 weeks ahead during July and August. Outside summer peak, booking is usually straightforward. Contact the hut directly by phone or email—online booking platforms handle limited availability here. The hut sits on SAC-marked trails and welcomes day visitors, though overnight guests have priority for meals and beds. A small shop sells basic supplies; stock up in Fließ if you need specialty items.
