About

Adamalm sits at 1,379m on the western slopes of the Kaisergebirge, above the village of Kufstein in the Tyrol. Reach it from Kufstein town center in about 1.5 hours on foot via the marked trail through mixed forest and alpine pasture. The route gains 400m steadily but without steep sections. Alternatively, drive to the Sparchen car park and hike the final 45 minutes. From Adamalm you can continue upward to Kaiser peaks like the Pyramidenspitze (2,001m) in another 2–3 hours, or descend to nearby Stripsenjoch for onward circuit hikes.
Adamalm is a traditional Alpine dairy farm, not a mountain hut, but welcomes hikers for meals and refreshment. The terrace overlooks pasture and the Kaisertäler valley. Food is straightforward—Kaiserschmarrn, Kaiserschnitzel, local cheeses, and coffee. Water is cold and fresh from the spring. The farm operates summer months only (roughly May to October, weather dependent). No overnight accommodation. Peak season is weekends and Austrian school holidays (July–August).
Call ahead on busy Sundays or arrive early. Payment is cash preferred; check current opening dates before traveling. Adamalm works best as a lunch stop on a day hike or circuit walk rather than a destination in itself.
