Orožnova Hut na Planini za Liscem

Orožnova Koča sits at 1346m on the Planina za Liscem plateau in the Julian Alps, above the Bohinjska Bistrica valley. Reach the hut in 2.5 hours from Bohinjska Bistrica village via the marked trail through beech forest. The route climbs steadily but without technical difficulty. This location puts you on established hiking routes toward higher peaks and connecting trails across the plateau network.

The hut holds 24 beds in mixed dormitories. Meals are served daily—expect simple, filling food typical of Slovenian mountain huts. Hot drinks and basic supplies are available. Water comes from a mountain spring. The hut operates year-round but staffing is limited outside summer months; check conditions before visiting in winter. Facilities include an outside toilet and limited washing water. The hut is managed by PZS (Planinska zveza Slovenije) through the local Bohinjska Bistrica hiking club (PD Bohinjska Bistrica).
